About Getting Paid Nepal

Getting Paid Nepal exists to answer one question well: as a Nepali freelancer or independent IT exporter, how do I actually get money from a foreign client or platform into my Nepali bank account, legally and without losing an unnecessary amount to fees?

We started this site because most "how to get paid internationally" content online is written for a global audience and doesn't check which platforms actually operate in Nepal specifically. That gap wastes people's time — signing up for a payment method that will eventually reject their country, or missing the tax step entirely because it wasn't mentioned. We'd rather cover fewer platforms accurately than more platforms superficially.

How we research and write

Content on this site is built from publicly available sources — platform documentation, Nepal regulatory and industry reporting, and Nepal banking/tax guides — and we deliberately flag where a fact is well-established versus where it's based on secondary reporting we haven't independently verified against a primary source. Where a number (a tax rate, a fee, an exemption percentage) is genuinely uncertain or likely to change, we say so directly rather than printing a confident-sounding figure that might be wrong.

How this site makes money

This site is supported by affiliate/referral commissions — primarily from Payoneer — when a reader signs up through a link on this site. This does not change the price or terms for you, and it does not change what we write; we cover platforms that don't pay us a commission (like bank wire transfers) exactly as directly as ones that do. See the full Affiliate Disclosure.

What this site is not

This site is not a law firm, an accounting firm, a bank, or a financial advisor, and nothing here is legal, tax, or financial advice. It's a starting point for your own research — always confirm anything that matters (fees, tax treatment, account eligibility, documentation requirements) directly with the relevant provider, your bank, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD), or a licensed professional.
